1) The screen size and colors. People love the fact that the screen is large and easy to see.

2) IQ Routes. The TomTom XXL 540 TM GPS uses actual speeds and travel times along your route, rather than simply using the posted speed limits.
This helps you choose the best possible route for your specific situation and gives you more accurate travel time estimates.
3) Rapid satellite acquisition. In many cases, the satellite acquisition time is 10 seconds or less, giving you the data you need as quickly as possible.
4) Advanced Lane Guidance. This is a feature that really sets TomTom GPS devices apart from the rest. It shows a realistic animated image of the highway exit you need to take and clearly denotes the lane you need to be in to make your exit.

3) The driving instructions for the Points of Interest information don't specify a specific address, they simply tell you the street it's on and let you know when the destination has been reached.
Also, it doesn't specify on which side of the street your destination is located.
All in all, the large majority of TomTom XXL 540 Widescreen GPS users were happy with the device.
