Raymarine E120 – The Outstandingly Effective Multi-function Display
The Raymarine E120 is a beautiful device that accomplishes its tasks better than others of its type, and is definitely one of the most flexible and improved MFDs in the business to this day. Whether or not you're experienced in sailing, the Raymarine E120 will help you with everything you need.
If you're worried that you won't be able to see the screen in tropical sunlight, then don't be, because the Raymarine uses special Ultra-Bright Sunlight Viewable display technology to guarantee that the display will always be easily visible and viewable. The 12.1" wide angle view and prismatic backlighting produces stunning detail and superior video quality.
It has a host of different features and most are very easy to learn and use. You can easily turn the Raymarine E120 into a super electronic marine gps chartplotter by directly attaching a Raystar GPS Sensor and Navionics Platinum Chart Cartridge to the display. These advanced gps chartplotters include many useful features that are definitely a boon to any seafarer who cares about tracking his position. It is truly a technological marvel. Plus, the Raymarine E120 has additional functions that you will find useful as well.
Similarly, the HD Digital Fishfinder can also work wonders by just connecting the DSM300 Digital Sonar Module to your E-Series display. The digital fishfinder has an awesome high resolution display, zoom magnification, and it can scan up to an impressive maximum depth of 5000 ft. This patented digital sonar technology allows for precise targeting of fish and bottom structure. It's a very beneficial device for any seafarer.
Another useful function is the E120 Radar. Simply choose the Raymarine radome or open array that best meets your need, plug it in and you're done! Now you can sail carefully and surely through fog, rain, and darkness. Features for the E120 radar include: Auto GST™ automatic control of gain, sea clutter and tune, radar waypoint navigation and multiple waypoint overlay, 1/8th to 72 nautical mile maximum range (performance limited by scanner type and position), Head Up, Course Up and North Up orientation, and Relative or True motion modes. The Raymarine E120 chartplotter features a highly customizable navigation interface in which Navionics Platinum Plus, 3D chartplotting, radar, HD Digital fishfinder, SIRIUS marine weather, instrumentation, and video applications are viewed in user-defined "Pages." You can customize each page with different window configurations or full screen applications for every navigation scenario.
The E120 acts as a stand-alone navigational display if you don't change any of the options. But if you want it to, it can be joined with other displays in the Raymarine E Series as part of a SeaTalkhs network, which will let you see the same functions on every display currently connected to the network. Video Integration is a brand-new feature to the E120, which lets you view your information anywhere you want through a mixture of video input and output connections. The E120 has additional capabilities which allow you to do anything from monitor onboard cameras, to view your information on a wide screen TV or PC monitor. Additionally, an optional remote control keyboard is available for full function control of the E120 display from a remote monitor location. Full-screen or windowed modes can both be selected as view type for the video input, and you can also customize the intervals between each.
