Hobart XVX 770584 Prowler Full Vision Auto-Darkening Welding Hood falls into expert range of Hobart's auto-darkening hoods. This is the right model for you if you are looking for convenient results and comfortable, safe working process.
The variable shade lens is adjustable from 9 to 13, which makes it ideal for virtually any welding application. Reaction time 1/20,000 of a second makes it almost twice as fast as Hobart XVS series and more than five times faster than Hobart XFS auto darkening helmet. It has also large view area 2.375 x 3.875 in (60 x 97 mm), which is about 30% larger than other models.
With such a great darkening response time and associated adjustment levels it makes much easier to achieve clean weld with less cleanup and fatigue. No more flipping the hood down and guessing where your bead will start – you can be fully protected while still knowing exactly where your rod will be when lights go out.
Hobart Welding Hood XVX is Battery powered with solar-assist replaceable lithium battery and compliant with ANSI and other corresponding (DIN/CSA/TUV/CE) standards. As all Hobart auto-darkening helmets it features LCD lens with solar-charging panel and 100% ultraviolet & infrared protection. Red LED indicates 2 to 3 days remaining battery life.
