Otter iPhone Cases
Now that it is not possible to insure your iphone, a good case is well worth the money that you will spend on it. The otter iphone cases are available for both the iphone 3 and the iphone 4.
Some of the benefits that this case provides are:
- It is water-resistant, so if you are like me, and have the tendency to drop your phone into puddles, your phone will be saved!
- It keeps dust and all the other junk out of your phone. Other cases that I have used always seem to stock pile lint and dust in-between the case and the phone. Yuck!
- It covers the screen, unlike many other cases, and protects it from scratching.
- Non-slip grip
- There are also a variety of different types, depending on the amount of protection that you want.
- Shock-resistant, so when you drop it on the ground you won't hear that awful crunch!
I own two different styles, the defender series and the armor series. I am a construction worker, and an avid adventure sporty, so I use the armor otter iphone cases, which I will admit are a little bulky, during these activities, but then switch to the defender otter iphone cases when I am in less destructive environments, but still want good protection.
One thing that I really like about the otter cases is that they got rid that sticky and annoying screen protectors, and use an off-surface plastic film that is on the otter box hardcover. This film allows finger tip pressure to pass thru it very effectively and keeps lint and dust out of the phone.
It also has a carrying attachment that snaps onto the phone (or that the phone snaps into, depending on your perspective). It can accept the phone from either facing (screen out or in) but it only really secures itself in with a snap if the screen is facing inward (towards the belt-clip) as you can imagine, it has a rotating belt clip with a safety hook on the inside of the clip-part so it won't slip off whatever strap or belt you hook it on.
The cons of the otter iphone cases are that it is a bit difficult to get off unless you have really strong nails, or a tool of some sort. I just use my pocket knife. J
Also, some people complain that the case scratches their phone. Personally, I have not experienced this problem, but I figured I probably needed another con.
All in all, I have been incredibly satisfied with my otter iphone case.
