Motorola M710 Review - a Review of the Motorola M710 Cellular Phone
The Motorola M710 is the ideal mobile phone for use in a vehicle. The convenient voice activated name and number dialing make connecting a breeze. The voice activation is accompanied by a handy one touch Push-To-Talk (PTT) activated by a smart key. There’s an external PTT button that makes the process of connecting lightning fast.
The Motorola M710 cellular phone offers one-touch voice mail, customized soft keys and four-way navigation that make scrolling through menus and lists quick and easy. The tactile keys are large, well spaced and illuminated for easy access even in the darkest environment. Users can make the most of the excellent sound quality by using the volume control.
The unit boasts a packet data transmission rate of 96 kbps. The Motorola M710 also offers BMP, PNG, JPG and GIF image file formats. Ring tone formats include 16-chord polyphonic MIDI, WAV and MP3 files. The cell phone also has multimedia messaging services (MMS) and short messaging services SMS) built into the system.
Personalization is a pure joy with all of the image and ring tone options. In addition, users can customize the main menu order, profiles and navigation keys. The Motorola M710 is a relatively large unit measuring 60 x 175 x 37mm in dimension, and weighing 250 grams. The M710 meets FCC, IC Canada, Safety EN 60950 requirements.
Multimedia services include messaging, Openwave 7.02 Internet browser, and downloadable media content. The Motorola M710 handset also has navigation and LBS that use integrated AGPS. Users can assign ring tones and pictures to specific contacts. Supplementary network services include call forward, call waiting, conference call, caller ID, voice mail, voice, net and text message alerts.
Lightning fast connections are possible using the Push-to-Talk, Push-to-Send Pictures, Push-to-Send Contacts. T9 predictive text makes text messaging quick and easy. Accessories include external combined on-glass antenna for GPS and cellular radio, external speaker and external microphone. The unit also offers an external privacy headset and data cable Mini-USB to USB type A.
Add the high-resolution TFT (176X220 pixels, 262K), automatic backlight control and large size fonts to the list of outstanding features. There is no doubt that the Motorola M710 is the ideal mobile communication device for people on the go.
