Review of the Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver With Heart Rate Monitor
The Garmin Foreunner 305 GPS Reciever with heart Rate monitor is a great product. At the current moment, it also comes with a discount of 50 procent, which makes this equipment a very easy purchase.
This Garmin product is perfect for cycling and running, and it also comes with a direct link to see your workouts on Google Earth, which is just fantastic. (software included)
The heart rate strap with an replaceable battery is coded and comfortable to wear. It seems, that Polar products have met a very big competitor in this supplier. I used to be a fan of Polar, but since testing this product - im quite happy about Garmin as well. I also use Garmin Nuvi for my cars.
I would especially like to point out, you can easily customize the display screens. I have noticed other reviews complaining about the numbers being to small to read while exercising, bit this is not an isue to me. You can significantly increase the size of the display by simply displaying fewer active fields.
My only complain about this product is, that due to its comfort and well fitting issues to the arm - you can easily forget the Forerunner and leave it on and run the battery down. This a a great bummer, if you just are about to ride 50 miles on your mountainbike. I would like to suggest, that Garmin would built in an auto-off function, which would shut the Forerunner down, if the heart rate gets down to a steady level.
A little tip for your Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver with Heart Rate Monitor is to use Li-lon batteries, as they can work for 90 minutes of exercise - for as little as 10 minutes of recharging.
