Cropping
Youlook fabulous in yourhigh schoolprompicture, but you'd rather forget thatguy standingrightnextto you. By using the crop tool, you can be able to keep a copy of yourhigh schoolprompicturesansyourex-sweetheart. Afterscanningthe pictureand opening;the file in yourAdobePhotoshop,drag the cursorwhile holdingdown the leftbutton on yourmouse to selectthe area thatyou want to keep. Then click on Imageand selectCrop. You willbe leftwith the selected;area of the picturethatyou havehighlighted.
Fixingthe Angles
If yourlittle one tried to take a pictureand it cameout slightly tilted,you can realign it so thatit comes;out straight. Simplyselectthe measuringtool locatedin yourmenutoolbar on the leftsideof yourscreen. Click on one horizonof the picturethatyou wouldlike to realign and then dragging it the cursorto the other end.Thiswouldfix up any minor misalignments. If it still looksa bit off,click on the canvasoptionand rotateit on the canvasuntilyou are satisfiedwith it. The software willautomaticallyexpand the canvasto fill in the empty spots.
ColorTouch Ups
If the lightingcausedthe pictureyou took to comeup a tad bit too orange,you can alsoremedythisby adjusting the colors on the picture. Go to Imagethen selectAdjustmentsand then Color Balance. It wouldopenup a menuthatwouldallow you to fix up the colors of the picture. Justdrag eachcursorto the rightor to the left. Since Adobecomes;with a previewfeature, it wouldallow you to see the changes as you drag the cursors;to help you makethe picturecomeas close as how you remember it.
Sharpen
The mostcommon of all picturestakenby film cameras;is thatsometimes theytendto look a little bit blurred.To bringout the details of the shot, selectthe sharpen featurein the Filter optionon the menubar. The programwillautomaticallysharpen the details of the picturea little at a time.Continue the entire process untilyou are satisfiedwith the details of the entire picture.
